Welcome to my new site about Homemade Biodiesel it has been set up to provide valuable information and resources for enthusiasts along with those who are considering producing homemade biodiesel for themselves, or for anyone who wants to be informed about the growing homemade biodiesel industry. I this article I want to extend an invitation to anyone who would like to contribute to my site and there can be some financial rewards particularly for authors. I will also endeavour to give an overview of what biodiesel is and what it offers.
The site is interactive meaning that authors are welcome to contribute articles. You can share your experiences or make comments on the blog or join the homemade biodiesel forum and read other peoples comments or contributions or contribute yourselves. It is an opportunity to pose questions and have them answered or you can help others in need of answers to questions or problems they may encounter in making homemade biodiesel. If you join the newsletter we will keep you up-to-date with the latest happenings in the industry.
For your information homemade biodiesel is a fuel that can run in any diesel motor without modification. In fact motors will run better and last longer with biodiesel. You can use it straight in any diesel motor or you can mix it with regular diesel. Homemade biodiesel is easily made; all you need is some essential chemicals and a supply of used cooking oil plus the necessary equipment which can be put together using plans or purchased from manufactures. It costs a lot less to produce thereby making it much cheaper than the petroleum variety. In fact with the price of oil escalating with no end in site, it will continue to save users a lot of money. In
terms of performance, fuel consumption, auto ignition, power output, and engine torque are relatively unaffected by biodiesel.
Homemade biodiesel is safe to handle and transport because it has a high flashpoint of about 125°C compared to petroleum diesel fuel, which has a flash point of only 55°C. It is as biodegradable as sugar and is 10 times less toxic than table salt. Biodiesel is the only alternative fuel that can be used directly in any existing, unmodified diesel engine.
Compared to petro-diesel, homemade biodiesel has very low emissions, making it cleaner and better for the environment and your health. It is good for the motor because it has lubricity which has been found to be about six times higher than petro-diesel. Homemade biodiesel is a sustainable resource as it recycles used cooking oil easily obtained from restaurants. In producing homemade biodiesel you are helping the environment by recycling a troublesome waste product. In making homemade biodiesel you can experience a great feeling of freedom, independence and a sense of empowerment. Joining the long lines at gas stations can become a thing of the past.
In conclusion my site is designed to be interactive so feel free to participate or contribute in anyway you want. Homemade biodiesel can be used in any diesel engine, is safe to use, has a positive impact on the environment and is easy and cheap to produce.
If you own or are thinking of buying a diesel vehicle and you are
concerned about the rising costs of diesel, you might consider saving
money by making your own biodiesel. It is surprisingly easy if you know
how. For a step by step guide I highly recommend the
